Travels in Tze Wan Shan

Photos taken on Saturday, 24 April 2010.
There is a lovely hiking trail close to where I live, and when I first came to Hong Kong my cousin took me there to hike. Since then, I have taken James as well as my sister there. The trail is a lovely oasis for city dwellers: for about an hour or so I get to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and immerse myself in mother nature.

This temple is built on a very steep slope, and marks the start of the hiking trail.

At the start of this year there were loads of monkeys hanging around this place. Big monkeys, not so big monkeys and baby monkeys.

Kwun Yum Temple. I think much of this temple is no longer in use.

I love this bend, reminds me of the country side back home.

A lot of people come here to collect water.

This is a short cut: the steps lead to a rest stop and a small store that sells water and refreshments to hikers.

Did I tell you the steps are steep?

I usually stop here to do some stretching exercise.

I usually stop here to admire the view. Today, you can see all the way across to Hong Kong island.

I haven't seen Wong Wong for a long time, but there he is today! He's having a jolly good time watching the hikers go up and down.

So pretty! The fish love the dripping water.
